iESE Self Assessment: Delivering Savings through Self
Assessment
Introduction
How to get started
Public services are facing unprecedented levels of spending cuts, increasing demands for better services, rapid technological change and a new legislative environment which will give individuals and communities greater say in running services.
To help local government adapt to these challenges, iESE has created a secure, online self-assessment service which allows authorities to benchmark themselves against a ‘blueprint’ of best practice.
By completing the iESE Self Assessment, local authorities will benefit from:
1. An easy to use scoring system of basic, fair, good or excellent
2. The scoring system allows authorities to understand where improvements are needed or perhaps where there is an opportunity to review spend
3. A qualitative rather than quantitative assessment of their service, providing a more in-depth understanding which when combined with costing data, can allow more informed decisions to be made
4. Access to wider iESE support which is aligned to the findings of the iESE Self Assessment
iESE Self Assessment is a free service for local authorities across England and is aimed at Service Managers within:
- Waste and Recycling - Procurement - Climate Change
